First all nighter of 2007, woo.

I went to class at 9am this morning only to find it was canceled. In turn, I went to the library at 9:30am and remained there til 8pm when I came home. Now I am trying to get back into the study mood so I can finish and maybe get 2 hours of sleep before tomorrow.
Oh well, it will all work out in the end. I've just had a ton of caffeine. 5 venti coffee's, 2 red bulls, a coke, and a full throttle. I feel wonderful. Look forward to it being done and tomorrow nights "glow stick" party at Frog.

Attention: If you see me, let me know where I am

So it's now Monday, moments away from turning to Tuesday and I haven't bothered to post since last Thursday. Aren't I lazy. I will back date some photo blogs, but really, I've just been super lazy. And busy I guess one could even argue.
Friday/Saturday involved only two things. The first being trips to the library, or reading from home.. the second being the bars. Friday night, myself and Rob left the library at 11pm to head to the bars and hit up several of them. We watched a live band at Jack's, went to a terrible Mardi Gras Party at Jim Bob's, and then ended the night at the Ceeps. That was the best part as I was lucky enough to run into a bunch of friends I had not seen in a while. Saturday on the other hand was just Ceeps. This was a wonderful night because it was the first time I have seen my next door neighbor Les drink! She was quite entertaining. Unfortunately all the people I left with went home early... made me sad. Lucky for me I met an awesome girl Kaleigh who helped me forget my friends were gone. Once home from the bar I had one of the quickest 'get home to sleeping' speeds ever.
Sunday was by far the best day of the weekend though. Up bright and early to head to Toronto with Lauren. We stopped off briefly to visit her folks and have a wonderful dinner (thanks!!) then continued into Toronto. We arrived at the Kool Haus at 6pm, and the third best concert I've ever been to started at 6:30. We went to see Jack's Mannequin. They also had three openers; The Fury, The Audition and Head Automatica. The opening bands all played great sets, and I even got to meet two of them, but the show was stolen by Jack's Mannequin.

This was the second time I've had the opportunity to see Andrew McMahon perform (last time with Something Corporate) and he still is my long running favorite performer. He put on an amazing show playing 12 of 13 Jack's songs, pulling out 2 SoCo songs and even threw a cover of "Message in a Bottle" in the encore. He is just overall, unbelievable. I do recommend taking the opportunity to see Jack's or SoCo if they come within hours of you.
After the show we simply made our way back to London on the most cracked out drive ever. The whole way we figured we would be abducted by aliens because we were seeing the strangest lights! Luckily we were not, and if it wasn't for the McD's people fucking up my order, it would have been the perfect drive.
Today was just a long day. My only class ended up canceled which meant sitting in Periodicals, in the library, reading and preparing for my exam tomorrow. I'm not quite ready, but with my alarm set for 8:30, and plans to be back in Weldon for 9, I will be ready come tomorrow afternoon. The only shit part is the fact I am essentially stuck on campus from 9am til 1am when the Foot Patrol shift I am picking up is over. Oh well, just another day in London.
Reading week is also shaping up nicely. Me and Rob finally have it planned to wake up, go to the Library by 11:30, hit the gym at 4:30, then come home and ether waste our lives on the PS3, or hit up random bars we wouldn't normally go to. Should make for an awesome break. I'm also getting very anxious to go get my tattoo on the Friday. I've been saying it for over a year, and other than I am afraid (upper arm is a pretty prominant spot) I think I have finally convinced myself that I need to do it. It will stop all the constant wanting it, and thinking about it, and talking about it. We shall see, if I don't go anywhere and just stay in London, it will be done.

It doesn't feel cold in here

This week has been nothing but uneventful. Monday was school and finishing a Women's studies paper. Tuesday was lots of class and then a paper. Wednesday was the best day of the week... which is surprising since it was Valentines Day. Had class in the morning and lunch with the always lovely Lindz. After that, bought some roses and headed home to read. Surprised a few friends with some roses, and really surprised another girl with a bouquet. She seemed speechless so hopefully she liked them. Went to Foot Patrol after that though. Becs cooked myself and along with her roomies dinner at night, and then I just chilled following that. Overall a solid V-day, for the first time in a long while.
Today has been the longest day ever. Just so boring! I have been finishing an assignment all day on "Economics in a 24/7 economy". So boring. But it's done now so I can hand it in this coming morning. Then its just preparing for my exams next week. Rather boring weekend planned but nothing I can do about it. Best thing though... JACK'S MANNEQUIN ON SUNDAY! Oh man, I've been pumped for this show for months. Should be fantastic.
Otherwise, thats about my life in a nutshell. I'm getting down to the final days to decide if I get my tattoo over the break. I have a few options open but I think I'm just staying in London. If I do, I will get it done for sure. The only option is that my Dad said he might want to go away for a few days to Casino Niagra or Montreal. That would be sick too, but would also mean no Tat. We shall see.

Pulling a Me?

The other fun news, I should be getting a job at the Ceeps this week! Yay! Gotta take my resume in on Tuesday... I think I'd make a damn good bouncer.
This weekend overall was decent. Friday night I worked til 1am, then played Ps3 sadly til 5am. Not smart, but fun none the less. Saturday I did work, went to work, then hit up the Ceeps. Best bar night in a while. Got to see people I hadn't seen in forever, and really, it was just a great night.
Today was lame. I woke up around noon, and have been doing homework, playing PS3, and listening to music all day long. We did some damage in NHL2K7, and I finished my assignment thats due tomorrow. Now I'm just enjoying FutureSex/LoveSounds. Justin Timberlake is actually pretty decent. And it's good midnight music. Need to finish a bit more of this assignment though or else I won't be impressed with myself.
Oh well, another day starts in 3 minutes.

I hate the weekend

Last night I went and saw Billy Talent. They rocked the John Labatt Centre. Now, the day was a little more adventuresome than that though. Myself and Michelle started having a few beers in a late afternoon lunch. We split up for a bit, but everyone rejoined later in the eve at my house for the "official" BT pre-drink. We had a few more beers and then on Jeffy's advice, made our way just after 7:30 to the show. Now here's where things get messy.
As we walk, Rise Against goes on stage... we know they are co-headlining. We rush the floor and mosh our way up front, but after the set learn some sad news. Whilst we thought the doors opened at 7, the show actually started at 7. So the band I most wanted to see (Moneen) had

Afterwards we all made our way home and I was out like a light within 45 minutes. Perfect night.
Today is going lame though. I'm dreading going to work at 5, especially since I know I could have gone to the Raptor's game instead! I got invited to go by Steph, and couldn't get out of work to go to it. So I may be a grumpy Blockbuster lacky tonight.
Speaking of Blockbuster... I hope someone in head office reads this... already played. A few minutes later we learn even worse news. Since Anti-Flag had to cancel their showing up, Dallas Green had played a special set!!! Talk about two terrible things to miss. I got over it though. Billy Talent played an amazing set, and it was cool to witness the last show in a long tour... chalk that on the board of firsts. FUCK YOU! The last shift I did, last week, they started airing ad's in store about how wonderful it is to work at Blockbuster. Now, I agree, it is a sweet job, the people I work with are awesome, and I've watched more

Second thing that they did that pisses me off more isn't financial at all. With the wonderful "No Late Fees" policy some movies don't make their way back into the store for 2 weeks, or even 30 days. How many times does someone watch the Lake House that they don't bring it back for 27 days... then bitch that there is a $2 restocking fee. People are pathetic, and they alone make me want to quit quite frequently. But regardless, corporate says that "due to the success of our No Late Fees policy, people are finding sometimes movie's aren't always available to rent". Now as an employee, we get the benefit of 10 free rentals per week (which I love). Now, we get all new releases a week before they are launched so that we have a chance to see them. Now, once they are released, we have to wait 3 weeks (21 days) to rent them... but because us renting movies for free (let's point out that we work practically for free) cuts so much into profits we now have to wait a month to rent something that has been released. So now, if I miss a movie before it comes out, I have to wait til next month to see it. And the best part, they say that they find we are taking to long with the no late fees... but we get fired if the damn movie comes into the No Late Fee's policy... 3 strikes your out.

So Bloody Cold

The rest of the weekend was taken easily. I spent Saturday hanging with Bec/Lindz/Bec's Dad... and watched the Leaf's beat Ottawa. Sunday was slow until the Superbowl. What a great game. Made even better since me and Ashley went and had all you can eat wings, and $2.50 beers at Jack's. It lead to a very accidentally drunk night, but we were celebrating the Colts awesome victory. Today has been slow. I woke up around noon, had a class for 3 hours, then I've been studying, cooking, grocery shopping and playing PS3 with Todd. Nothing exciting at all.
The one thing that has been bugging me though is how fucking cold it is outside. -30!!! I went outside and besides the fact my iPod headphones froze into an awkward shape again,

These next 3 weeks are just going to disappear too and I'm scared. Reading week is in 2 1/2 weeks. I have 4 exams/papers due in that time. Ugh. Oh well, at least the week off will be good for catching up, and sitting on my butt doing nothing around the house. One roommate is going to Oshawa, the other is going to the Caribbean somewhere.
I think my main goal for the break is going to be work a few extra shifts, and get my second tattoo FINALLY. Linz will be around, so she can get me in with the guy, and then I can finally get it done. 1/10th the price of a vacation, memories that will still last a life time.

JAGERBOMB!

It all started last night. I wasn't going to do anything, but it was Julia's b-day and I heard they were all going to the Frog. It's my Thursday tradition, so I went along. Got there, and ran into a guy from one of my Soc classes; Sasha. He quickly bought me a Jagerbomb... then a second... then a third... and on and on throughout the night. In the end, I have memory of over 15 of the damn things being consumed. Some other random chick introduced me to her friend, then bought me two shots as well. It was a very random night. I pretty much drank free which never happens up here! The only problem, each Jagerbomb contains 1/3-1/2 a can of Red Bull in them. That is where issues arise. I got home around 3, and just lay in bed all night. I would drift off, but then shoot back up awake. It's still going on this afternoon. Such a caffeine high. AUGH!
This weekend is all about taking it slowly. I work tonight 5-close, so like usual, I will watch a movie and crash afterwards. Tomorrow I have to be up bright and early to work 12-8. Yay! Then it's off to UFC 67 with Dustin/Todd/Eric. Should be a great PPV. And then Sunday is going to be relax and watch the Super Bowl. No idea who is playing, but all you can eat wings and big big TV's make it sound exciting.
I'm off to pace my house some more.
