I'm Damn Lucky

So I am just sitting here, studying for my "Theories of Mass Communication" exam tomorrow, and came to a realization. I am damn lucky. My laptop battery no longer holds a charge, so I have turned it into a glorified picture frame rotating through all the photos it contains. It only has the last 2 and a bit years (2nd and 3rd year university, and a bit of 1st year). Yet, the first string of photos that comes up were; me and all my building mates; me on a beach in Cuba; me skiing in Calgary; another photo from Cuba; a Argo's game; a Jay's game; and a Kegger. Hmm, I felt lucky at that moment.

I am spending all my time down at this little school, Western, and that alone leaves me in a position of being lucky. Not everyone gets to attend post-secondary, and certainly everyone doesn't get to go to one of the best schools in the country. I should be proud. On top of that, in the past year I've gone to MLB, NHL, CFL and NBA games, seen more concerts than I can count, been to Calgary to ski, Cuba to drink, Las Vegas to gamble, I've met and partied with celebrities, gone on boat trips, road trips and actual trips and been VIP at more bar events than I can remember. I have had a lucky fucking year. I should never, ever be aloud to get down on myself. And this was my big self realization right now. I'm lucky. I was looking through my photo's from the past 3 years (all of University) and I have done more than a lot of people may ever get to do in their life. It was almost humbling.

Wow. Ok, done procrastinating.
